Kerala Agri-Food Technology Meet – AFTM 2011 is being organised by Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Kerala, in association with Kerala Agricultural University as well as K-bip (Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion). The theme of the meet is ‘From Farm to Fork’.Agro-Food Technology meet will be held from February 24 to February 27,2011 at the Lulu Convention Centre, Thrissur. It is being organized exclusively for the Agriculture, Food Processing & Allied Sector .The meet proposes to highlight developing farm mechanization, organic farming, food processing and post harvest technology. The specific objectives of the meet will be agricultural education – educating farmers, processors, traders, NGOs and related parties about new technology developments and existing challenges in the agriculture sector thus enhancing the activities of various agricultural sectors.There would be informative seminars and discussions. The meet will give an opportunity to meet,connect,work and network with other market players, suppliers, support services on a single platform. It is expected that over 130 exhibitors from within the state as well as from all over India will participate in the event. 5000 visitors will be attending the exhibition.
