This is mainly conducted on Aluva Siva temple situated on the vast shore of river Periyaar. This starts on the day of shivaraathri. Thousands of people will come there for "pithru tharppana" (a Hindu custom) . From the day onwards there will be a lots of shops and entertainment cafes. This lasts for about one month after the sivaraathri day.
