History :
Maradu is small village near Cochin This temple is situated in Maradu at Ernakulam district . Maradu Kottaram was the summer house of the Kochi Rajas, and the presiding deity here is Bhagawathy who is housed in this Palace. The festival here is a memorable experience. The amazing fireworks display during the annual festival is the main attraction. The presiding deity, Bhagwathy faces west and poojas are offered twice in a day. Sub deities are Shasthavu, Nagarajavu, Gandakarnan, Ganapathy and Brahmarakshas.
