[ Edit
Sree Vallabha Temple is one of the oldest temples in Kerala. It is also one among the 108 Vaishnava Temples in India. It is situated on the bank of Manimala River and is worth visiting. The architecture is unique and encompasses about 8 acres of land. The North gate Gopuram is kept closed and is opened only in "Uthra Sree bali" a unique festival which is celebrated once in every year. In front of the eastern gate tower (Gopuram) there is a big pandal for which is widely used for enacting "Kathakali" and also for performing marriage ceremony. As soon as we enter the eastern gate tower (Gopuram), we can see the beautiful carving of the great Lord Mahavishnu in a single piece of wood. The sreekovil is conical in shape and is built in pure granite stone with mural paintings on the walls.
