One of the lesser known hill stations of Kerala is Kuttikanam but it is one of the most scenic and tranquil places for a soothing holiday. It is located 3500 ft above the sea level and is enroute to Thekkady. It has a vast expanxe of lush, green tea plantations and streams gushing forth from the towering rocky terrain. Beautiful flowers are its landmark. Kuttikanam was the summer camp of the Travancore kings. Some of the places you can’t miss out in Kuttikanam are the summer palace, Tomb of Muslim saint Peer Muhammed ,pine forests, tea gardens and waterfalls. Nearby attractions include Thrishangu hills, Panchalimedu, Parunthumpara, Wagamon and Thekkady.
