About Njarakkal

Njarakkal is a beautiful spot lying in the Vypeen islands of Kochi.It is surrounded by the blue sea and closely dotted with coconut trees. It is a small village mainly dependant on fishing but with the development of the Njarakkal Fish Fed Aqua Farm, it is also becoming an upcoming tourist spot. Here there are small huts, built in the water and one can visit these huts and also try the tempting cuisine here.Even canoe rides in the lagoons is a wonderful experience.One can also try fishing here with the help of the locals. The beach is also a pleasant attraction.

It is very Kochi city and people prefer taking the ferry during peak hours by bus it takes a longer time with traffic blocks.Buses are available from Ernakulam and the stop is either Njarakkal hospital junction or Arrattuvazhi.By car, go by the GoShree bridge and on reaching Njarakkal hospital junction, go left on the beach road.
