Vengara is spread on the banks of Kadalundippuzha which is the third longest river in Kerala. It is lush and green with vegetation. Oorakam Mala is the highest hill near to Vengara and is worth a visit. Vengara has grown to become a commercial centre in Malappuram. It has good business centres and majority of the people are dependant on Gulf money earned by their near kin.
